Our Local Quilt show

Thought I'd show you a few quilts from our  local quilt show held recently.
I loved this one with all those colourful cats.......

This one reminds me of pies or pizzas  :)

The travelling quilt. (big quilt on stage) travelled around Australia, and was added to by different quilt groups.

Very nice!

Quiltopia had a stall there.

Great modern design!

Country stars.
I had a great afternoon looking at all those lovely quilts and browsing the stalls.
I even had a win - I won a lovely table runner made by one of the ladies in the quilt group.

Lovely Ladybirds

Look what I have found over in the veggie garden.....
Loads of lovely yellow ladybird beetles.
Busily scurrying amongst the frothy white flowers of the queen Anne's lace.

Do you have ladybirds in your garden?

Cheerio for now,

Walking Irises

A couple of pretty irises from my garden for you today.
These ones are called 'walking irises' because of the way they propagate themselves.  A plantlet is formed at the tip of the flower stalk, it bends to the ground and takes root. This new plant then repeats the process. Thus, giving the illusion of walking or moving about as it spreads.
They fill up a garden bed quickly.
A nice addition for any cottage garden.
Cheerio for now, I'm off to do some stitching....
