Remembering.....

Thinking about my grandmother today.
She was 94.
Her funeral is today, she died in her sleep on friday.....

Maisie (grandmother) is the lady on the right in this photo, she is with one of her sisters going to Petersham Town Hall in Sydney (in 1939). Don't you love their smart outfits.
She had five children, and worked part-time as a housekeeper for a wealthy family who owned a number of jewellery stores. She was a wonderful cook (I can still remember her roast dinners and beautiful scones she used to make)
She will be sadly missed.

How lucky to have a grandmother with you so long! My last one passed on when I was 17. I hope it is a lovely service.

Sorry for your loss Sandi, my grandmother lived to 94 too. I once asked her about living to 100 and she said no, she had done everything she wanted to. Their generation was lucky to see all the progress and unlucky to witness wars and recession. They were the tough generation!
PS i love the shoes in the photo!
Hugs

So sorry for your loss. My grandmother lived a full rich life until she turned 94. That has been 18 years ago. Where has the time gone!
