T-shirt Makeover

I liked this t-shirt when I bought it, but after a while the neckline 'v' was starting to fold over on one side - not such a good look.
So I decided it was time for a makeover.....

I added some black and white checked ribbons and red flower buttons to keep the neckline from folding over. Then some black embroidery (chain stitch), around the neckline, and some black seed beads in the centre of the flowers. It has a whole different look now don't you think?

Cheerio for now,

A 'Blokey' solution

Does your man do this? Lol.
Discovering a fallen hem on his trousers, he reached for the stapler .....'There I fixed it!'

Thinking about my grandmother today.
She was 94.
Her funeral is today, she died in her sleep on friday.....

Maisie (grandmother) is the lady on the right in this photo, she is with one of her sisters going to Petersham Town Hall in Sydney (in 1939). Don't you love their smart outfits.
She had five children, and worked part-time as a housekeeper for a wealthy family who owned a number of jewellery stores. She was a wonderful cook (I can still remember her roast dinners and beautiful scones she used to make)
She will be sadly missed.

Whirligiggling along

I'm making these blocks at the moment.
Found a pile of them that I had made last year??......
A really easy block to make and template free too.
It is starting to look good already, don't you think?
