Make a Pretty Shelf

I found this tea tray doily at the Salvation Army op-shop last week. I couldn't resist the beautiful lacy border - so fine and intricate. I admire the work gone into the making of it.
But the condition the doily was in........  - it had brown marks and stains all over it. I should have taken a photo. The lady behind the counter said ' one dollar' ?  I decided to take a chance that I could get the stains out. After an overnight soak, the doily came up lovely and white.

It looks right at home in my great-grandmother's china cabinet.
The lacy edge is so pretty hanging over the shelf.

It certainly is very pretty Sandi and how marvelous you were able to get the stain out of it so easily. I spy an Aunt Mary's baking powder tin there!

Lovely. Would you share what you used to remove the brown spots? Also love the strawberry tutorial. I plan to make a few for gifts!
