Snowball Block progress

Hi everyone, quite rainy and foggy here today - a great day for sewing.
I have been making a few more red and white blocks for the snowball quilt. Karen, from Sew Many Ways, is hosting a 'Snowball Night'- where you pick a time each week to make a few blocks.
Don't you love the 'beater' fabric I found?  I am still collecting more red and white fabric for this project.
With the snowball block, you get little triangle off-cuts from the corners, that you can use to make little pinwheel blocks for another project. Aren't they the cutest?
Happy stitching,

Hi Sandi,
I love the red and white and the beater fabric is too cute. Don't you just love the little pinwheels. You can do so much with them. They make cute pincushions to tuck in with gifts for friends.
Sorry for the weather you're having. We're very hot and humid here right now. I really need a break from this heat.
Take care,

Cute blocks and cuter fabric! I love the beaters, it reminds me of my Mom...

I think our Grandmothers or ancestors would be so proud of us using every little bit of fabric that we can.

Wow, can't wait to see it put together, and those cutie pie pinwheels would be great for a border on something!
