Giant Star Potato Tree

Our Giant Star Potato tree (Solanum macranthum) has lots of flowers on it at the moment. I planted it our near our letterbox as it is nice and sunny out there. The flowers are so pretty, when they first open, they are dark purple, then over the next few days, they fade to mauve, then white.

The Giant Star Potato tree is related to tomatoes and potatoes. The tree is native to Brazil, so is suited to our climate here. Cheerio for now, I'm off to do more painting in the carriage.
