Been Painting

(Railway Carriage studio)
We are getting more painting done. The paint colours are 'off white' - a nice vanilla white, and 'Dusty Road' - looks like the colour of chocolate milk, and 'ceiling white'. The vanilla is on the skirting boards and architraves, and parts of the kitchen, and the chocolate is on the tongue and groove wall panelling. The louvres (left side of photo) are on order, so they should be here soon. We are having five black metal louvres on the bottom, and nine grey glass above. The plywood (louvres) are just temporary to keep the weather out.

Here is the little fold-down table. (still have to drill some holes in the floor for the legs to sit in when down). There is a built-in nook behind the fold-down table, I'm sure I can find some sewing nik-naks to put in there! I still have to paint the wall in behind there. (have done the edges though)

Next we are painting the room up front - behind the sliding stained glass door. The electrician still has to come back and finish off too. We are getting there! (I know I keep saying that :)
Cheers,
Sandi

I'm so jealous. Your carriage looks fantastic. I can't wait to see it all finished - it will a lovely place to work in. Hopefully I'll have a "sewing shed" through the year, so I love seeing what others are up to.

It's looking so good! Fresh, airy and light! I see you have a sink there..will you have a little frig to hold milk for tea and coffee?

What a project! But...it's coming along slow and steady!

Wow, it's definitely taking shape now. You can really see how light and spacious it will be. Fantastic!
