Catbird

Just lately, we are being visited by a catbird. This bird lives in rainforest areas and has a very unusual call. First explorers thought that they were hearing a crying baby in the forest - it turned out to be this bird. (it doesn't really sound like a cat though) Catbirds are very hard to find in the trees, as they are green and blend in. It was a bit tricky to take a photo of him, as he is very shy, so I used one from this site: www.anhs.com.au/catbird.htm
Cheers,
Sandi xx

WOW I have never seen a bird like this before. We have lots of rainforest here in Tassie but it must be to cold for them?

SO nice to see your ducks growing.
